wow.. haven’t been writing here for a really long time and I hope nobody had thought anything bad since my last post was regarding my car accident. LOL..anyway, few things over the summer.
1. I quit my day/main job at the end of July. I used to work in finance and it was just B-O-R-I-N-G! but the pay was good. =)
2. Took my baby dog home back to California to meet the other 2 dogs. He was afraid of flying first, but got used to it. Didn’t bark at all!!! I was so worried he would make noises in the cabin.
3. WENT TO HAWAII!!!! BEST BEST BEST trip ever~~ Went there with friends; we stayed at the new 5-star Trump hotel in Waikiki, had an awesome studio room and ocean view! The beach was OK though. I’m allergic to seawater, so again, I was covered with hives and tried to scratch my skin off. (this was the worst part). Then we headed to the Big Island!!! This is by far my favorite island (probably because I didn’t go to Kuai, because everyone told me that was the best). We flew in from the Hilo side and drove all the way to Kona along the Hamakua coast. Visited the Akaka fall and Waipio valley along the way. And I have decided that I wanna live somewhere near Honokaa when I get old. The coast is just beautifullllllll~~~~~ When we got to the Kona side, it was just BROWN; nothing but volcano rocks. But fortunately we stayed at the Kona Village Resort, and had an amazing experience there! Loved our Hale (hut) and the whole looks/feel to the resort. People were sooo friendly!!! We also paid to see the Luau there – it’s $100/person, but it’s worth it!!! The show was great and no wonder it’s claimed to be the best on the island. All in all the Kona Village stay was expensive but well worth it! Then we flew from Kona to Maui on this tiny 9-seated plane. Had I known that was gonna be our plane, I wouldn’t have booked this Mokulele airline!! I’m afraid of flying normally and this 9-seat plane just made the ride the worst. It was “dropping” like crazy when we were about to get to Maui. Oh I never wanna get on that plane again~~(>_<) Ok, Maui was nice~ beach was the best, soft sand and calm water. The view was nice too but our hotel people were snobby. Friendliness wise, I rate Big Island #1!!! lol On the plane from Maui to Oahu, I sat next to a band member of this local Big Island band called Hi-Town- they perform Hawaiin Raggae music! give it a try and google them. Back in Oahu we just shopped until we went broke I guess. Loved that store called 88Tees. We went there 2x in a day just to dig for the vintage clothes they have. Then we had massage at this local place, forgot the name of the place but I would definitely go back if I visit Waikiki again. In general my Hawaii trip was the best best vacation so far and I have photos up on the P&T Facebook!! go seee~~!!
